A Murmur in the Trees— to note—
Not loud enough— for Wind—
A Star— not far enough to seek—
Nor near enough— to find—
A long- long Yellow— on the Lawn—
A Hubbub— as of feet—
Not audible— as Ours— to us
But dapperer— More Sweet—
~ excerpt by Emily Dickinson
As you may already know, the Associate Editor at What Will You Remember? Suzanne Révy is first, last and foremost a fine art photographer. On the occasion of her solo exhibition, A Murmur in the Trees, at Panopticon Gallery in Boston, I insisted that she allow me to share an online version of her stunning show in a special edition of Viewfinder. Although it is impossible to replicate the immersive and transporting feeling experienced in person, her recent selection as a 2021 Critical Mass Finalist for this body of work attests to the persuasion of her images, even when viewed online. I invite you to let Suzanne’s sweeping, meditative, multi-panel landscapes take you on a sublime journey through New England’s seasons. ~Elin Spring
