How does your garden grow? Community gardens abound in Boston, wafting delectable scents and vibrant sights into each neighborhood. Our photographic community sways the senses, too. Whether storied museums or pop-up galleries, Boston’s art organizations continue to nurture artistic creativity and kinship. One decade ago, Leica Gallery Boston stepped onto the scene, gathering Boston audiences for exhibitions and programming featuring renowned and emerging photographers. To celebrate this milestone, their “Community Garden” exhibition presents imagery by thirteen past exhibitors and four newcomers, together sowing seeds for the future of Boston’s creative community. On view through October 18th, 2026.

Gardeners know they can enhance robust cross-pollination and flourishing crops by mixing a variety of plants. The congregation of photographs in “Community Garden” is similarly lush. A potent sense of humanism and connection emerges as a throughline in the diversity of landscape, portrait, abstract and street photographs on view. Like a freshly picked bouquet, the aroma is intoxicating.
