“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more”
― George Gordon Byron

For those who appreciate the art of handmade silver gelatin prints and the glory of natural sea and landscapes, you will not want to miss the photographs of Alexandra de Steiguer, on exhibit at Pucker Gallery on Newbury Street in Boston through July 12, 2015. During the long winter months, de Steiguer works as caretaker on the Isles of Shoals, nine miles off the New Hampshire and Maine coastline.
